Arthur R. Rupley was born in
West Fairview, Pennsylvania . He attended theHarrisburg Academy and the Cumberland Valley State Normal School inShippensburg, Pennsylvania . He graduated from theDickinson School of Law inCarlisle, Pennsylvania , in 1890. He was admitted to the bar in 1891. He served as chairman of the Republican county committee from 1895 to 1898. He was district attorney ofCumberland County, Pennsylvania , from 1895 to 1899, and county and city solicitor from 1900 to 1906. He was a delegate to the Republican State convention in 1910 and to theRepublican National Convention in 1912.Rupley was elected as a Republican to the Sixty-third Congress. He resumed the practice of law and specialized in public-service work, died in
Carlisle, Pennsylvania . Interment in Ashland Cemetery.ources
