Adelaide Kane

Adelaide Kane

Adelaide Kane, born 9 August 1990 [ [http://adelaide-kane.tripod.com/imagelib/sitebuilder/misc/show_image.html?linkedwidth=actual&linkpath=http://adelaide-kane.tripod.com/sitebuildercontent/sitebuilderpictures/adelaideinterview.jpg&target=tlx_new, Dolly Magazine] , competition winner's issue (cover with date of issue not shown on source website).] is an actress from Claremont, Western Australia. She became the third actress to play Lolly Allen in the Network Ten soap opera "Neighbours", having won the role through a series of auditions promoted as a competition in Dolly Magazine. [http://www.thewest.com.au/default.aspx?MenuID=24&ContentID=2394] She appeared in the October 2006 issue of Dolly alongside fellow winner Sam Clark (Ringo). She first appeared on-screen on 25 January 2007.

Kane, at age 16, left her year 11 class at St Hilda's Anglican School for Girls in the Perth suburb of Mosman Park to move to Melbourne where "Neighbours" is produced. When Kane's initial three-month contract expired, the "Neighbours" producers renewed her contract for a further 3 months, but she then left the show. The character of Lolly was born in 1994, meaning Kane is nearly four years older than Lolly should be on her return, but "Neighbours", like many other soap operas, adopts a flexible approach to characters' ages.

Kane's favourite character on "Neighbours" is Harold Bishop (portrayed by Ian Smith).
