Philip of Valois, Duke of Orléans
- Philip of Valois, Duke of Orléans
Philip of Valois (born July 1, 1336 at Vincennes - died September 1, 1376 at Orléans), Duke of Orléans, of Touraine and Count of Valois, the fifth son of Philip VI of France of Valois, King of France, and Jeanne de Bourgogne.
His father named him Duke of Orléans, a newly created Duchy, in 1344.
On January 18, 1345, he married Blanche of France (April 1, 1328-1392), the daughter of Charles IV the Fair and Jeanne d'Evreux, but they had no children.
He had one illegitimate son, Louis d'Orléans, who became bishop of Poitiers and bishop of Beauvais.
Philip of Orléans died in 1376 with no issue, his title and lands returning to the royal domain.
