genus = "Tommotia""Tommotia" is a
small shelly fossil from the EarlyCambrian Period. It was previously thought to be an earlycephalopod , with eithersquid -like tentacles or asnail -like foot. More recent investigation has shown that it is not the remains of a complete animal, but asclerite of a larger, soft-bodied animal that would have resembled achiton or asea mouse . The fossils called "Camanella" may be another type of sclerite from the same animal. [cite journal
