star in theconstellation Taurus. This star is located about 45light year s from theSun . It is slightly more massive and luminous than the Sun, and is about the same age or older. Spectral classification places it between a dwarf and sub-giant, so it appears to be a well-evolved star that may be near the end of its time on themain sequence . It is a suspectedspectroscopic binary , although this has not been confirmed. When viewed through a telescope, this star also has a line-of-sight companion.A debris disk has been identified around this star, based on excess infrared radiation detected by IRAS/ISO.
