Littoral Croatia

Littoral Croatia (Croatian: "Primorska Hrvatska") was a medieval Croat duchy. The other name for this duchy is "Dalmatian Croatia" ("Dalmatinska Hrvatska").

It was the biggest of medieval Croat duchies, before it united with Pannonian Croatia, during the reign of the king Tomislav in early 10. century.

Capitals

Throughout its time, the region had several capital cities, namely: Bihać, Klis, Solin, Biograd, Knin and Nin.

Territory

It comprised the littoral part of today's Croatia; that is the reason why is called Littoral Croatia (although included big part of hinterland).
From regions of today's Croatia, it included Lika, Gacka, Krbava, eastern littoral Istria, Kvarner, southern Kordun, upper Pokuplje, Gorski Kotar, western and central Dalmatia.
From the regions of today's Bosnia and Herzegovina, it included western Herzegovina, western-central Bosnia, southern Cazinska krajina, south-western Turkish Croatia/Bosanska Krajina (western part of Bosnia and Herzegovina).
