Plus Ultra was a
Dornier Do J flying boat which completed the first Trans-Atlantic flight betweenSpain and South America in January 1926 with a crew of Spanishaviator s, that includedRamón Franco andJulio Ruiz de Alda Miqueleiz ,Juan Manuel Duran andPablo Rada .The "Plus Ultra" departed from
Palos de la Frontera , in Huelva,Spain onJanuary 22 and arrived inBuenos Aires ,Argentina onJanuary 26 . It stopped over atGran Canaria ,Cape Verde ,Pernambuco ,Rio de Janeiro andMontevideo . The convert|10270|km|mi|0|abbr=on journey was completed in 59 hours and 39 minutes. The plane was subsequently donated to theArgentine Navy and was used to deliver airmail. It is currently on display in a museum in the city of Luján,Buenos Aires Province ,Argentina .External links
