- Unity Grind
The Unity grind, more commonly known as just 'Unity', is a grind used in
Aggressive Inline Skating with both feet. The skater approaches the object, jumping onto it with legs crossed, each skate locked onto itsh-block . The leg that is crossed over is the leading foot. If instead the non-leading foot is used, then the move is rather an "alleyoop unity", also known as a "savannah". If the skater is facing away from the object, then the skater is grinding backside and if the rider is facing towards, then they would be considered grinding frontside.Variants
The main variation of the Unity grind is the approach to the object and spin into the grind listed below.

The Savannah differs from the Unity in the way that the legs are crossed in the grind. There are two further variants of the Savannah: backside and frontside described below.
A Backside Savannah
The rider approaches the object with it on their left hand side, jumping similarly to an "Alley Oop topside porn star", spinning 270 degrees counterclockwise and lands with legs crossed in a "Unity" position. The rider's legs must be crossed in such a way that the left leg is crossed "in front" of the right leg (looking down).
The grind could be pictured as an "alley oop acid", but the foot doing the
makio position would be placed in the h-block (royale position). The description above is just one way of doing a Savannah, the grind can be done coming from the other direction to the object, and this will make it frontside

] In order to do this from approaching the object forward you would need to jump 270º counterclockwise off the ground to get on it backside shown in picture above. You might become confused with the positioning of the grind in the picture, as he could be performing an Alley Oop backside unity or a Back Savannah, but it all comes down to the way he spins into the grind.
• If it was an "Alley oop backside unity" he would approach forward and do a 90º turn clockwise onto the ledge with his left leg crossed in front of his right leg.
• If he was to do a Savannah he would approach the object forward, and jump 270º counterclockwise off the ground to get on it backside shown in picture above.
A Frontside Savannah
You approach the object with it on your Right hand side, you jump and spin 90 degrees and land with your legs crossed in an Alleyoop Unity position. Your legs must be crossed in such a way that leading leg is crossed "in front" of the other.
Alley oop Unity
The Alley oop Unity differs from normal Unity, as your movement is in reverse, but feet position the same. For example if you look at a normal unity and play it in reverse, this will become an Alley oop unity. Below are descriptions on how to do a 'Alley Oop Unity' grind.
A frontside Alley Oop Unity
Approach the object with it on your left hand side and jump as if you were going to do an alley oop pornstar grind, spinning 90 degrees counterclockwise and landing with your feet crossed in a unity position, with your right leg crossed "in front" of your left leg.
A Backside Alley Oop Unity
Approach the object with it on your right hand side and jump as if you were going to do a truespin topside porn star, spinning 90 degrees counterclockwise and landing with your feet crossed in a unity position, with your right leg crossed "in front" of your left leg.
Of course this would all change if this was your "un-natural" way of doing tricks. Reverse clockwise direction and left/right side to perform correctly.
