oi! movement, formed inPortsmouth, New Hampshire in1988 . The original lineup included:Al Barr (vocals, now the lead singer of theBoston Celtic punk bandDropkick Murphys ),Scotty Davies (bass),Jeff Morris (guitar ) andRodger Shosa (drum s). Morris is now a guitarist and lead vocalist for Death & Taxes, and a guitarist forMark Lind & the Unloved.The first band members were
skinhead s (although notwhite power skinhead s). After a few short years and lineup changes, the band and their style changed slightly. The Bruisers released a 7" split with the Dropkick Murphys in1997 (whileMike McColgan was still that band's singer). By mid 1998, Al Barr was the only remaining original member of The Bruisers. The Bruisers reunited onSeptember 14 ,2005 to perform a concert at The Roxy in Boston. The bill included local actsThe Ducky Boys andTommy & The Terrors , as well asThe Casualties fromNew York City .Discography
