Andy Gray (cricketer)

Andy Gray (cricketer)

Andy Gray (born 19 May 1974) is an Australian born cricketer to English parents. He is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler. He made his debut for Yorkshire in 2001, against Northamptonshire, scoring a duck, his only batting contribution during the match.

Despite Yorkshire's 2002 relegation from Division One of the championship, he stuck with them, and played with them until 2004. Next year, he moved to Derbyshire, despite making his way down the batting order, as his team suffered an innings defeat on his debut, once again, making a duck in his first innings for the team.

As Derbyshire finished mid-table in 2006, he looks to be holding his own within the team, and will likely be of use by them in time to come, in a spin bowling partnership with team-mate Ant Botha.

Gray has represented both Yorkshire and Derbyshire in Twenty20 cricket.

Currently Andy Gray represents Shifnal Cricket Club who play in the Birmingham premier league.
