*Operation Veritable 160 (Wales) Brigade, was originally part of the
Territorial Army 's 53rd (Welsh) Division and fought with that division in the First andSecond World War s. Post-war it was, for a time, 160th (South Wales) Brigade of the 53rd Division until the Territorial Army was reorganised as the TAVR and the division was finally deactivated. It is now a regional brigade coming under the 5th Division based inShrewsbury .It is not a formation that would be deployed as other brigades like 12th (Mechanised) Brigade would, but is a regional command responsible for all of
Wales . The Brigade organises an annual patrolling competition in theBrecon Beacons known asExercise CAMBRIAN PATROL .Order of Battle
