Benedictus is a song from Simon and Garfunkel's debut album, Wednesday Morning, 3 A.M. It was arranged and adapted from an Orlande de Lassus setting of the Song of Zechariah, one of the three great canticles in the opening chapters of the book of Luke. The song is set for two voices with cello and sparse guitar accompaniment."Benedictus" was featured in the Wii game "Endless Ocean", unlocked when the player entered the Great Abyss area. The featured version was recorded by soprano Hayley Westenra, and also featured in her first internationally published album, "Pure".
