Roy C. Ketcham High School

Roy C. Ketcham High School is a public secondary school (grades 9-12) located in Wappingers Falls, New York. It is in Dutchess County and part of the Wappingers Central School District. The school is often referred to as Ketcham or RCK. There are approximately 2,000 students currently enrolled in the school. The RCK mascot, the subject of minimal controversy, is the Indian. The school colors are red and blue, though administration conducted polls to see if the parents and students would prefer to change to red and black. The student body voted red and black, however, after tallying alumni and parent votes, the colors would remain red and blue. The varsity football team was almost not allowed to play in their last game because their uniforms (red and black) did not match the cheerleaders uniforms (blue and red). This caused frustration from the football team and coaching staff because their red and black uniforms were purchased through a great deal of fundraising.
