municipality in the "comarca" of thePallars Sobirà inCatalonia ,Spain . It is the largest municipality in Catalonia in terms of surface area (1913.79 km²). It is situated on theNoguera Pallaresa river, and is served by the C-13 road, which links it with Sort and (during the summer months) to theAran Valley over the Bonaigua pass (2072 m). The "ajuntament" (town hall) is in València d'Àneu.Subsdivisions
