Angel City Chorale

Angel City Chorale, founded by conductor/artistic director Sue Fink at world-famous McCabe's Guitar Shop, is a multi-talented, multi-cultural ensemble of 125 men and women that truly reflects the spirit of Los Angeles, the city it calls home. Performing an extraordinary repertoire ranging from Classical music era and Folk to Pop and Gospel in enthusiastic, audience-friendly concerts has become the group's hallmark.

In addition to an annual concert series, the choir has performed with the Young Musicians Foundation Orchestra and was the only choir to sing at the 2000 Democratic National Convention, performing with Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, and Mary Chapin Carpenter. Angel City Chorale was selected by internationally acclaimed music director and record producer Frank McNamara to appear in an hour-long PBS special, "The American Tenors", which was taped at the spectacular Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.

ACC made its debut at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in a festive holiday production of "A Merry Mancini Christmas," singing Henry Mancini's timeless arrangements of holiday favorites along with soloists Michael Buble, Monica Mancini, and Dianne Reeves, accompanied by the 77 member Henry Mancini Institute Alumni Orchestra conducted by Patrick Williams.

Members of the chorale performed on the "Hollywood Tree Lighting Celebration at the Grove," which aired on CBS in December 2005.

The ensemble has recorded three highly acclaimed CDs: "Gift of the Angels," "A Chanukah Celebration," and "Why Walk When You Can Fly."

Tour of Hope

Bringing hope and providing inspiration through the power and poetry of song lies at the heart of Angel City Chorale's commitment to the Los Angeles community; an important part of ACC's vision is to give back. With the help of generous individual and corporate donations, the group boards buses in December for its annual Holiday Tour of Hope, a day-long carol-a-thon that takes music to where it's needed most: shelters, missions, and retirement homes.
