Airport Road is a major road in
Bangalore . Recently it has been more in the news due to its frequenttraffic jam s. This road is a prominent part of the so-called "infrastructure problem" of Bangalore city. It begins from the point where Trinity Church Road and Victoria Road meet and goes right up to theHAL Bangalore International Airport . Beyond that, the road officially becomesVarthur Road, but ever since thereal estate boom started around 2003, builders have started calling the stretch between the Airport and theMarathahalli Outer Ring Road as Airport Road. Even so that due to the high significance of this road it has achieved due to its high accessibility for reachingWhitefield (one of the major hubs of modern IT industry), the road beyond Marthahalli officially recorded as Varthur Road now is more commonly known as Airport-Whitefield Road.Landmarks
