Herbert Carnell Scott (born January 18, 1953 in Virginia Beach, VA) is a former American football offensive lineman in the NFL. He attended Kellam High School in Virginia Beach, VA, and went on to star at the Virginia Union University where he was All-Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association three times.

Scott's entire pro career in the NFL was spent with the Dallas Cowboys (1975-1984). In 1975 Scott was one of the "Dirty Dozen" of rookies who helped the Cowboys to Super Bowl X. Scott became a starter at left guard in 1976. In 1980 he became the Cowboy's first All-Pro offensive lineman since Rayfield Wright in 1975. He was a three-time Pro Bowler, attending the game in 1979 through 1981. Teammate Tony Dorsett once said, "When Herb goes after a guy, the next thing you see are feet in the air."
