Lindner Family Tennis Center

Lindner Family Tennis Center

The Lindner Family Tennis Center in the Cincinnati suburb of Mason, Ohio, is the home of the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters & Women's Open. It features three tennis stadiums, and is the only venue outside of the Grand Slams with more than two permanent stadiums.

The professional tournament, also known as the Cincinnati Masters & Women's Open, began on September 18, 1899, and is today the oldest tournament in the United States played in its original city. The event moved to its Mason home in 1979 (after being played at numerous venues in Cincinnati including the Cincinnati Tennis Club) when four courts were laid and temporary bleachers erected.

Center Court, first built in 1981 and expanded many times since, has a capacity of 10,780. Grandstand Court (Stadium 2), built in 1995, has a capacity of 5,000. Court #3 (Stadium 3), built in 1997, has a capacity of 2,000. The venue has a total of 10 courts, luxury suites, a box office, several above-ground mezzanines, and a tournament museum.

The venue also hosts or has hosted the AVP Cincinnati professional sand volleyball tournament, special events such as concerts and Hospice of Cincinnati's annual fundraising event, and numerous national and regional college and high school tennis tournaments.

Browning, Day, Mullins & Dierdorf of Indianapolis has been the architectural firm of record for the venue since its beginning.
