Anavra (Greek: Ανάβρα) is a community in the Magnesia prefecture, Greece.Its population reaches 987 citizens according to the census of 2001. The village of Anavra is located on the West side of Mount Othri, at a height of 900 metres above the sea level, 72 Kilometres from the Magnesia's capital Volos and on the borders of the prefecture of Magnesia and Fthiotida. Visitor will be delighted by the natural environment, with its dence vegetation and clear waters. The Enipeas river, which is tributary of Pinios river starts at the springs of Anavra and passes through the village for two Kilometres.

According to Mythology Anavra is connected with livestock activities. Almost all the inhabitants are employed in farming. In the area one will find the folkore museum of Farming Life.

There were many ideas the last decade, for the creation of a Winter Ski centre in the slopes of the Othry mountain and its highest peak Gerakovouki (1726 m), West of the village.
