He has been a television personality since 1991. He works pro-bono for these public access programs onCox Cable ; legally American cable access performers may not receive compensation.Each year, (the first Tuesday of December) Bob Venturini and his crew, put together a 4 hour
telethon to collect toys for needy children across Rhode Island. The "Victor J. Venturini MemorialToys for Tots Telethon" gets its name in honor of Bob's late father, Victor (U.S. Navy) and his late brother, Victor Jr.(U.S. Marines) . The show is broadcast live from theWarwick Mall on Cox Ch 70 and gains the attention of the local media. Attendees include the US Marines, personalities from Rhode Island television stations (Eyewitness News -WPRI-TV , NBC10 News -WJAR , and ABC6 News -WLNE-TV ) plus numerous radio personalities from WPRO, WPRO-FM, WHJJ, WHJY, WCTK, WSNE-FM, WWLI, WWBB and many more.
