Waddingham

Waddingham is a village and civil parish in the West Lindsey district of Lincolnshire, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 548. It is just off the A15 north of Caenby Corner.

Originally there were two villages, "Stainton" where the present church is and "Wadingham" which were separated by the stream, Waddingham Beck, which runs through the village. These are both mentioned in the Domesday Book. The name apparently derives from 'Wading home', ie crossing the beck to return to "Wadingham" from "Stainton"..Fact|date=June 2008 Stainton Avenue today runs along the side of the beck.

Waddingham has a post office and village shop, St Mary & St Peter church and a Methodist chapel. The Jubilee Hall is available for local functions and houses a doctor's surgery. Opposite is Waddingham Primary School. Close by is the village pub, the Marquis of Granby.
