Club career
Olerum currently plays for FC Aboomoslem in Azadegan League. His previous clubs were Nigersity FC, Shooting Stars FC, Enugu Rangers, Pasargadae F.C. and Foolad F.C.. Olerum had a few unsuccessful seasons at Enugu Rangers before moving to Shooting Stars FC in Ibadan where he was instrumental to the club returning to the Nigerian Premier League. He had a short unsuccessful stint in the German lower leagues.
In August 2003, Olerum signed with Foolad F.C.. After making only 11 appearances and scoring no goals for Foolad FC in the IPL 2005/06 season, he decided to go to F.C. Aboomoslem, another Premier League side where he would go on to enjoy great success. He has managed to win the best IPL 2006/07 forward award after having scored 17 goals for Aboomoslem, But in the next two season with Aboomoslem he only 9 goals together and could perform as well as before. He moved to Teraktor Sazi in 2009 and again had couple of unsuccessful seasons with Traktor Sazi where he didn't even score one goal. Finally in the middle of the 2010-2011 season he moved to Gostaresh Foolad in Azadegan League.
On 23 July 2011, He Joined Aboomoslem[1].

He aspires to play for Nigeria in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. He has also expressed his wish to play for the Iranian national football team.[citation needed]

- He is Married to an Iranian Woman.
- In September 2006 Olerum converted to Islam[citation needed], although he was a devoted Christian beforehand. Along with his new belief, he also stated in Iran that people should refer to him as Erfan, an Islamic name rather than Daniel.
- He has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from the University of Nigeria.[citation needed]
- He can speak English as well as basic Persian.
- On February 6, 2007 he was offered Iranian citizenship.[citation needed]
