Since mid-2005,
Phoenix, Arizona has been subject to twoserial killers operating independently at the same time in the same city. TheBaseline Killer and the PhoenixSerial Shooter are believed to be responsible for 14 murders and more than 60 attacks in the Phoenix area since that time.The Baseline Killer
As of
September 6 ,2006 , Phoenix police have arrested 42 year oldMark Goudeau as a suspect in theBaseline Killer case. Goudeau is believed to be responsible for a total of 23 crimes, includingrape ,kidnapping ,robbery and 8murder s since August of2005 .Authorities in Phoenix say that they have
forensic evidence linking Goudeau to twosexual assault s that occurred onSeptember 20 ,2005 , but are quick to note that they have not connected him to any other of the Baseline incidents. Currently, police are considering the numerous other Baseline-related cases open and subject to an ongoing investigation.The Phoenix Serial Shooter
As of August 4, 2006, Phoenix police have arrested two men in connection with the Phoenix Serial Shooter case. The first suspect arrested was Dale Hausner. The second suspect is Hausner's roommate Samuel Dieteman.
America's Most Wanted has now learned that Hausner and his alleged accomplice have each been booked on two counts offirst-degree murder and 13 counts of attempted first-degree murder for a series of attacks dating back to May 2005. Police say that other charges are likely since it's believed that the two men may be responsible for six murders, twoarson incidents, and a total of 36 shootings.Sources
