Lee Tressel

Lee Tressel (February 12, 1925 - April 16, 1981) was a football coach and athletic director at Division III Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio.

Lee Tressel accumulated a 155-52-6 record in 23 career seasons with the Yellow Jackets, including the 1978 NCAA Division III National Championship. For his efforts, Tressel was named National Coach of the Year that season. Lee Tressel is the father of Jim Tressel who is currently the football coach for Ohio State University. Lee Tressel was married to Eloise Tressel who worked as the Athletic Historian at Baldwin-Wallace College

Tressel was 56 at the time of his death from lung cancer. He was posthumously inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1996.

In Berea, Ohio on the south side of the Baldwin-Wallace College campus there is a street named "Tressel Street" after Lee Tressel. On the corners where Tressel Street starts and ends (Bagley Rd. and E. Center) there is a decorative street sign in honor of Lee & Eloise Tressel for their contributions to the B-W campus.
