Roy Montgomery

Roy Montgomery is a guitarist from Christchurch, New Zealand.

He has played in several New Zealand bands, including Murder Strikes Pink, The Pin Group, The Shallows, Dadamah and Dissolve. He has also released solo albums on labels including Kranky and Drunken Fish, and has also recorded with Bardo Pond under the name Hash Jar Tempo.

Montgomery's solo works could be described as post-rock or lo-fi and contain mostly instrumental pieces. His signature sound is atmospheric and often dense, containing layers of chiming and echoing guitars.
