Before joining "Court TV"(now TruTV), Guthrie worked as a reporter at WRC-TV, the
NBC affiliate in Washington, D.C. and as a reporter/anchor for KVOA-TV, the NBC affiliate inTucson, Arizona .Guthrie received her undergraduate degree in journalism from the
University of Arizona before receiving herJuris Doctor fromGeorgetown University Law Center , where she graduatedMagna Cum Laude . Guthrie is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia andArizona , having scored first place on the ArizonaBar Exam . Guthrie was a member ofOrder of the Coif and received the International Academy of Trial Lawyers' Student Advocacy award for her work with victims of domestic violence. She joined "Court TV" from the law firm, Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer, and Feld, where she served as alitigation associate, specializing inwhite-collar criminal defense.
