Lori Linstruth is a guitarist. She currently resides in the Netherlands where she works as the manager for Arjen Lucassen.

Biography

Warbride

Linstruth first came to prominence in the late eighties when she moved from Santa Barbara to Los Angeles to pursue her dream of an all-female metal band. After a short stint in local band Jaded Lady she formed Warbride. Before this, Linstruth had already received exposure by being featured in Mike Varney's "Spotlight" column in the magazine Guitar Player. Due to the ever-changing line-ups Warbride fell apart a few years later and Linstruth left to pursue her own interests. At the insistence of keyboard player Velia Garay, the unit recruited a new guitarist and the band continued "sans" Linstruth before disbanding in the early 90's.

Since 2004 rumours have circulated claiming that Linstruth is re-starting Warbride.

tream of Passion

Around 2004, Linstruth became involved in Arjen Lucassen's latest project Stream of Passion, touring extensively in 2006 and 2007. Linstruth decided to leave the band in March, 2007.

In 2006 Linstruth contributed with two solos on the tribute-project Mountain Of Power, lead by guitarist Janne Stark (Grooveyard Records 2006).

By late 2007, Lori left Sweden and headed for Holland where she became Arjen Lucassen's Manager.

Musical style

While Linstruth herself promotes Rammstein as one of her main influences, she is also known to be influenced by Uli Jon Roth, Michael Schenker and Yngwie J. Malmsteen.

She uses wah and tremolo effects extensively.
