Athelstan Aetheling

Athelstan Aetheling (more properly Æþelstan Æþeling) was the eldest son of the early English king Ethelred the Unready.

The young prince Athelstan died in 1011 while still a minor leaving his younger brother Edmund Ironside as the eldest son and prime candidate to succeed his father, which he did in 1016.
