- Sebakwe craton
The Sebakwe proto-craton is a hypothesized earlier formation of the
Zimbabwe craton . "A single EarlyArchaean continental crust al segment existed inZimbabwe , extending for over 450 km from the south-central Tokwe region, through the Midlands and up to the northern Shamva region of the present daycraton . This c.3.4 Ga crustal block, which we propose to be called the Sebakwe Proto-craton, stabilised around 3.35 Ga with a latergranitoid emplacement event around 3.2 Ga and provided the basement for the 3.0-2.6 Ga Late Archaeangranite -greenstone magma tism."
