Lennie Bennett is an English television comedian.

Career

After attending the Palantine Secondary School, Blackpool, he was a journalist on the West Lancashire Evening Gazette before becoming a professional entertainer and appearing on "The Good Old Days" in 1966. Bennett starred in the "Lennie and Jerry Show" with Jerry Stevens. It ran from 1978 to 1980. He was also the host of "Punchlines" and "Lucky Ladders" in the 1980s. Bennett is a much-requested speaker on the after-dinner circuit, at golf dinners, and is in demand for his skills as a presenter at top corporate events.

Trivia

*In 1994, Bennett suffered a serious heart attack, which necessitated a bypass operation.
