Gil Kenan (born London, October 16, 1976) is an
Israel i-Americanfilm director . He received his MFA from UCLA in 2002. He directed the 2006 film "Monster House", executive produced bySteven Spielberg andRobert Zemeckis . He has been nominated for a 2006Academy Award for Best Animated Feature for his work on the film. He also wrote and directed a short, "The Lark", which caught Zemeckis' attention and landed Kenan the director's chair for "Monster House".His latest film was the
Tom Hanks -produced adaption of Jeanne Duprau's 2003 novelThe City of Ember . It was released in October 2008 to mixed reviews.External links
