- Petteri Punakuono
Petteri Punakuono is the Finnish version of the English "
Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer ". The Finnish lyrics are as follows:Petteri Punakuono
English literal translation
"You remember Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, Little Red Riding hood, and the grey wolf, but this reindeer is often forgotten."
"Peter Rednose was the name of the reindeer. It wasn't a bad glare from the tip of our Peter's nose. At evenings others disparged him mocking as a lighthouse, but from that Santa Claus got an idea. The Christmas Eve night is long, the journey is out of light. Peter in his nose could bring light to the darkness."
"From that time on Peter has pulled Santa's sleigh leading it cheerfully to nice children all around."
