- Centre 2000
Centre 2000 was an indoor shopping mall that had been located in the
Canadian city ofLaval, Quebec North ofMontreal .The mall was built-in and opened in the late 60's/early 1970s under the name Centre 2000 - Hypermarche. After the shopping centre closed their last stores in the end of the 90's beginning of 2000, the mall was promptly closed and demolished except for the furniture store
Leon's which is still open. The land is now part ofCentropolis Laval.Some of the mall's
anchor tenant s included the "Odeon Laval Centre 2000" movie theatre (renamed "Cineplex-Odeon Centre 2000" in 1984) which operated from 1975 to 1997, Pinocchio's video arcade, aZellers and a Maxi.
