Steven Lohoré Gohouri (born 8 February 1981 in Treichville, Côte d'Ivoire), known as "Steve Gohouri", is a France born Côte d'Ivoire footballer who currently plays as defender for Borussia Mönchengladbach in the 2. Bundesliga.

Football career

Gohouri left BSC Young Boys for Borussia on a three and a half year contract on December 28 2006 with a transfer fee of €1.5 million [ [http://home.skysports.com/list.aspx?hlid=437993&plid=15498&clid=683&cpid=22 Sky Sports | Football | Bundesliga | Borussia Monchengladbach ] ] . In March 2007, he was called up to the national team for the friendly against Mauritius and scored a brace. He was also called up for the African Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar in Antananarivo and scored the opening goal in the 3-0 victory against Madagascar.
