The Realm

The Realm

The Realm is a surf based company that was originally co-founded by Mike Parsons and Pat O'Connell. It has sponsored notable pro surfers such as Tom Curren. The brands ownership has changed 2 times since 1999. Presently the brand is owned by Realm Holdings, LLC

Between 2001 and 2006 The Realm brand name was licensed in the US to Anaheim, California-based Motiv Sports, a company best-known for its pricepoint bicycles found in big-box stores like Target. Previously to 2006 the brand was known for selling "pop-outs" from China at places such as Costco for very cheap prices. One can get a shortboard for around $250 and a longboard for around $400. Motiv's license for the Realm ended in 2006 and the Realm is presently re-defining their distribution and licensing strategy, in the United States. Since the expiration of the US license agreement The Realm has returned to its roots of being a "For Surfers by Surfers" brand.

There are several Realm licensees around the world, including Japan, Australia, Europe, and The US. Additional information on the brand can be found in at www.realmnation.com. Realm products are available at surf shops and quality retailers in Europe, Australia, and Asia, and the United States
