Sarajevo ,SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Bosnian football player and manager.Playing career
Born and raised in Sarajevo, Amar Osim started playing football in
FK Željezničar . After playing for youth team, he entered the senior squad in1986 . In1991 , he left toFrance where he played for some low division clubs. In1996 , he returned to his home country. He played one more season for his favourite FK Željezničar before he retired from professional playing career. He has never managed to reach the playing glory of his father. He was a talented player, with good technical skills, but the pressure of his father's name was maybe too much to deal with.
Managing career
Although he has never managed to reach the level of play his father was showing, he is definitely the manager of the same qualities. His coaching career started in FK Željezničar youth squad which he guided to success in domestic competitions. After
Hajrudin Đurbuzović was sacked in spring of2001 , club officials promoted him to the place of the first team manager. He immediately led the club to two championship titles in 2001, in 2002, and two national cup titles in 2001, and 2003. He was sacked at the beginning of 2003/2004 season, allegedly because of the poor results. His father invited him to Japan to be his assistant at JEF United. After Ivica Osim was named the head coach of the Japanese national team, Amar was promoted.
After a poor finish to the 2007 season though, in which JEF United finished in 13th place in the
J. League , Osim was sacked. [http://sports.yahoo.com/sow/news?slug=afp-fbljpnbihasiaosim&prov=afp&type=lgns]
