"The Ascendants of Estorea" is a fantasy novel duology by James Barclay.
The first novel in the duology, Cry Of The Newborn, was released on October 20, 2005. The second book, A Shout For The Dead, was released in the UK on January 4 2007.

Overall the duology impressed reviewers, showing a progression in Barclay's work since The Legends of the Raven.
