|Kilruane MacDonaghs GAA club is located in the areas of Kilruane and
Cloughjordan , ten miles fromNenagh in northCounty Tipperary , Ireland. The club is named after Thomas MacDonagh, a signatory of the 1916 Proclamation who was born and lived inCloughjordan .The clubhouse and field are located in
Cloughjordan and the parish also takes in thevillage s of Ardcroney and Kilruane.The finest day in the club's history was in 1986 when they captured the Senior Hurling Club All-Ireland title, defeating Buffers Alley of Wexford in the final by 1-15 to 2-10.
The club was officially named and formed in 1937 bringing together many of the clubs that existed in the parish at the time. A forerunner to the MacDonaghs club was the famous Lahorna DeWets formed in 1900.
