When
Mark Chavez leftAdema in late 2003 following the release of their second LP titled "Unstable", he later on in the year announced that he had started a new band called "State of Mind". At first it was rumored that Mark had recruited guitaristGeno Lenardo and bassist Frank Cavanagh of the band Filter. This statement later turned out to be false. In the summer of 2005 it was revealed that Chavez's new band name was "Midnight Panic". In addition to Chavez, the band features guitarist Peter Shubert, bassist Mike Montano and drummer Cesareo Garasa.
On
December 23 ,2005 , the band announced that their debutEP was available for purchase via their official website. Amusic video for the song "Tonight Is Our Last Night" was released soon after. It has been announced via their
MySpace blog that the band has finished recording four new songs which will be available on their upcoming LP. The first of the four recorded tracks released to the public was a song titled "Everyday".Recently, the band released a video on their myspace profile, updating the fans about the band. They said they are writing and recording new music and said they should have their follow up album available for purchase via their pay pal account (which is undergoing maitanence at the moment) in the latter part of the summer of 2007. They also took the time to introduce their new drummer, Cesareo Garasa and wished their former drummer, Matt Low the best in his future endeavors. They also thanked their fans for their support. The video also included the band in the recording studio recording new songs. Cesareo Garasa, after joining the band in late 2006, has departed from the band in June 2007.
During July 2007, Mark Chavez departed the band to continue on his solo project. He posted the following bulletin on July 14 to announce his departure from the band and the progression of his solo project:
"Songs are coming along! I should have them done in a couple of days. I will post a bulletin the minute they are loaded on my page. Oh yea, I am no longer doing Midnight Panic. I have decided that the solo record is the path that I want to take in my music ventures. Just you wait, you all will see why I have made this decision. The music is saving my life. I would appreciate if you would all let me know what you think of my decision once you've heard the new solo project. Thanks,Marky"
This is what Pete had to stay about what will happen with Mignight Panic posted on Myspace July 17th, 2007 4:57 P.M.,
"Hello to all. Its Pete here. I have just put up two songs that I believe we never did anything with. They were recorded last summer. We never finished the new music I was going to put up due to lack of a drummer. We haven't done much as a band, Mark is working on new music with help from Mike, Myself, and other mucian friends of ours. As for MP, I think this may be the end. Mike and I if we keep playing together will not carry on the name Midnight Panic. We are just half the band and we all know there no point in dragging out a name once original members have left. We all are going to keep doing music be it together, solo, or with another band. I will try my best to keep everyone posted ..s and links to new shit we are doing. so with that I shall leave you."
Good Day
I said GOOD DAY SIR.
