2005 term opinions of the Supreme Court of the United States

The table below lists the opinions delivered from the bench by the Supreme Court of the United States during the 2005 Term, which lasted from October 3, 2005, until October 1, 2006. The table illustrates what opinions were filed by each justice in each case, and which justices joined each opinion. [Two decrees that the Court included in its list of bench opinions for the term have been omitted from this table: "Alaska v. United States", Jan. 26, 2006, a "per curiam" decree that entered the Court's judgment from its prior term decision (see "Alaska v. United States", 545 U.S. 75 (2005)); and "Arizona v. California", Mar. 27, 2006, a decree entered to approve the parties' settlement.]
