Background
Before coming into Telugu Film Industry, his parents forced him to join polytechnics. After finishing polytechnics in 1989, he went to
Madras . He became an assistant director to a few successful directors like "Shankar".Career
Karunakaran's first directorial film was
Tholi Prema was a sensational hit. That film enhancedPawan Kalyan 's image as an actor. Since then, he has given no hit.Yuvakudu , Vasu,Balu ABCDEFG , and Happy disappointed at box office. Though they failed at box office, the way he presents the movie is superb. Especially his heroines are given importance and are not vulgar in his movies unlike many directors. This is really appreciated by Class Audience. He gives much importance to his story & screenplay rather than skin-show.
