While attending Parramatta Marist High, Irvine played for the Australian Schoolboys team in 1999.[2]
He formerly played for the Parramatta Eels then the Canterbury Bulldogs and is commonly known by the nickname of Bubsy. Irvine signed a 2 year contract with the South Sydney Rabbitohs for 2007/2008.[1]
He went on to coach the South Sydney Rabbitohs Toyota Cup team for the 2008/09 seasons.[citation needed]
He is currently studying his Masters of Chiropractic at Macquarie University and will complete his degree in 2011.
