The Belvidere and Delaware River Railway (B&DR) was formed in 1995 as a Class III Railroad in the United States when the Conrail Delaware Secondary was purchased by the Black River Railroad System, which operates several railroad services in western New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania.

The main service the Belvidere and Delaware River Railway provides is freight service south along the Delaware River from Phillipsburg, New Jersey to Milford, New Jersey, along a 16 mile riverbank line. A two mile branch line also serves Easton, Pennsylvania across the Delaware River. The major industries along the line are paper and lumber mills. Service is provided three days per week.

The Belvidere and Delaware River Railway connects with Norfolk Southern in Phillipsburg, which provides connections to the national rail network. Commercial agreements also provide a connection with the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPRS) at Allentown, Pennsylvania. The B&DR is a Norfolk Southern Handling Line carrier, meaning Norfolk Southern haulage rates include delivery to B&DR customers by the B&DR.
