Sutherland Shire ,Sydney ,Australia . It prides itself on a high level of academic excellence, uniform and community relations. However, the school may be best known for their participation in performing arts, in particular the band, which recently completed a tour ofEurope along with the school dance troupe. In Europe for 2 weeks, the band performed in theVienna Music Festival , and scored third place. Past trips have included a tour of America, Queensland, andTasmania , Australia.Woolooware High accredits strong academics as one of the best aspects of the school. It is often described by teachers as the best school in its precinct. Woolooware High considers its academics to be the first of the four school pillars, the most recent Dux being Kieren Starr of Caringbah. Uniform is also one of the pillars.
Woolooware High is also well known for their participation in Performing Arts, having created school musicals such as Godspell, 'Fame', and a cabaret entitled 'A Night On Broadway', which was written by performing arts head teacher and band co-ordinator, Ray Avard. The school has also had success in the Rock Eisteddfod Challenge, producing performances such as My Fair Lady and Ramayana. Both had great success, each qualifying for the Premier Grand Final.
Woolooware High School's current principal is Mr Wallace, and over recent years Woolooware High has reached incredible levels for a comprehensive high school, including reaching the last 16 in the state and better for Rugby League, soccer, basketball and water polo.
