Dalian Wanda 's reserve team at an early age but was not able to hold down a place on the team. When he was 16, Shi joinedChangchun Yatai and started playing as a forward.In
2000 , Shi joinedYunnan Hongta and made hisJia A debut in2002 . After Hongta was bought out byChongqing Lifan , Shi started to get more regular playing time on the first team and quickly excelled as a forward.In
July 2005 , Shi had a successful trial with Young Boys and eventually made a permanent move to the Swiss Super League outfit onJuly 21 . The transfer fee is believed to be around €500,000. He became the first Chinese footballer to play in the Swiss Super League. Shi made his Young Boys debut onAugust 28 ,2005 againstFC St. Gallen after coming on as a substitute at the 85th minute.After playing in
