"The Jump Off" is the first single off the multi-platinum album "La Bella Mafia". The single debuted at number 95 and climbed into the top 20 at # 16. The single sold over 200,000 copies and certified platinum within months. A remix featuring Mobb Deep was also released but was used as a promotional single.

The song is produced by well-known hip-hop producer Timbaland and features Mr. Cheeks for background vocals.The remix retained the same beat as the original, as well as Mr. Cheeks with background vocals, but featured new verses from Kim as well as Mobb Deep.

One memorable line from the song is when Kim says "I can make a Sprite can disappear in my mouth." This line sparked some controversy, as when the remix was released Kim got more controversial and said "you thought the Sprite can was off the meter, imagine what i do with a 2 liter."
