- Cartmel Peninsula
Cartmel Peninsula is a
peninsula inCumbria inEngland . It juts in a southerly direction intoMorecambe Bay , bordered by the estuaries of theRiver Leven to the west and theRiver Winster to the east. The peninsula is often mistakenly included as part of the better-known Furness. Its only town is
Grange-over-Sands , a Victorian seaside resort, with the rest dominated bylimestone outcrops and the overlookingCumbrian mountains .
