The World Conservation Award, sometimes colloquially known as the "purple panda",Fact|date=February 2007 is issued by many of the national Scout associations affiliated to the
World Organization of the Scout Movement , and was created in conjunction with theWorld Wildlife Fund , partially in response to the rise in popularity ofGreen Scouting , at some time prior to1977 . The World Conservation Award is a badge awarded to Scouts in the
