He was a representative for Iran in 1948 London, 1952 Helsinki (Silver) and Melbourne 1956 (Bronze). In Melbourne, he lifted 25 kg above his personal record. A street has been named after him in Rasht.
Namjoo died in Tehran in 1990. [1]
