"Exit Planet Dust" is the debut album by British electronica duo The Chemical Brothers, released in the UK on June 26 1995 and the US on August 15 1995 (see 1995 in music). The title is a reference to their departure from their earlier name "The Dust Brothers".

In 2004, the album was packaged with 1997s "Dig Your Own Hole" in a limited edition box set as part of EMI's "2CD Originals" collection. It was certified platinum by the BPI on January 1, 1996. [http://www.bpi.co.uk/]

Trivia

*The beginning of "Leave Home" is a short sample of the beginning of the Kraftwerk song "Ohm Sweet Ohm" from the album "Radio-Activity".
*The vocal sample in "Song to the Siren" is a reversed sample of part of the Dead Can Dance track "Song of Sophia" from the album "The Serpent's Egg".
*"The kids from Orlando" in the liner notes is a reference to a show played at The Edge nightclub in Orlando, FL on July 4, 1993. This show was The Chemical Brothers' first ever US appearance.
